3-5 seeds per plug, sowing directly into field or pot is recommended
7-14 days at 65-70 °F (18-21 °C). Cover seed lightly with vermiculite after sowing.
Transplant plugs after 6-8 weeks. Grow on at 55-62 °F (12-16 °C).
Use a well-drained, growing substrate with 20-30% clay, 1-2 kg/m³ complete balanced fertilizer, iron-chelate, micronutrients, pH: 5.5-7.5. Field: humus, loamy soils with good drainage and good nutrition levels. Standard fertilization: 40-60 g/m² of a slow release fertilizer.
Grow at 12-17 °C or outdoors. Nigella does not tolerate frost.
Low-moderate fertilization levels are required. Field: If necessary according to analysis, improve the soil with 10-20 g/m² of fertilizer. N min soil value: approximately 60 g N/m².
